We are very pleased to be in the first position in North Kerala to start Biomedical Engineering at undergraduate level. The college was started in the year 2009. An exclusive Biomedical Engineering Department was formed in the year 2011 with an intake of 29 students in which three batches have successfully completed the course with in this period and are well placed. The department strives to provide a conductive environment for the students to develop analytical and practical skills and apply them to real health world.

With an immense pleasure, we are proud to see that the superlative performance of our students with a comprehensive aggregate in pass percentage of 95.6% till date.
Attained a well-defined designation in the corporate world
KMCTCEW has a creditable record of placement in BME final year students and graduates. As per recent trends, about 80% of Ex-students have attained a well position, with 56% of them are placed in multispecialty hospitals,11% have secured permanent positions in Multinational Companies and the other 8% of the students have chosen to pursue higher studies around the globe.
It’s a time to appreciate the talents who had contributed an identity to the college for bagging highestrank positions in university level.

We have conducted a BME project Demonstration on April 11,2017 with a great effort by our students and staffs in which Final Year students exhibited their project works. This was the first demo conducted by our department in the history of institute which was very informative and outstanding.
Students have also taken the privilege to publish their works in high impact journals with the support of their respective guides.
Our NSS unit 203 is considered as one of the most prominent NSS technical cells in the state. It has been turned to be very popular. The best NSS volunteer award has been entitled to Ms. Shobana (3rd year BME). It indicates that our students are well equipped in social service along with their academic performance.
