A Women’s Engineering College in general and the KMCT College of Engineering for Women in particular, provides a very peaceful ambience for the female students to study and develop their profession. They will get the opportunities to get the training on team management, time management and communication skills which would strengthen their personality to stand up and work for a better tomorrow. Absence of the male counterpart open the challenge of running around and organizing the events on their own and the girls get the real feel of involvement in the cocurricular and extracurricular activities, notwithstanding the pressure of the academic workload. Focussed social activities for women will enable the student to use their skill and knowledge to reach out to the community. We have observed that when the students get involved in the organization of various activities ,it leads to the transformation of their attitude and their skills. This become visible in their behaviour when they are about to leave the College at the end of their studies. College provides a family atmosphere by keeping a cordial relation between the teachers and the students. Students enjoy enough freedom to interact with all and also they are given specialized training to impart the life-skills needed for a woman engineer. College has already become one among the top 25 Engineering Colleges under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University based on the academic results. College has received many awards and recognitions for its involvement in social development. The NCC Unit is yet another opportunity for the girls to tone up their physical mental skills. Students will get the C Certificate when they complete the requirements and this will enrich their career.
